Simone spent his first weeks surfing in the Philippines thinking he was doing fine, wrong board, bad habits, nobody around to tell him otherwise. Giorgio kept booking camps that looked great in the photos and turned out to be a hostel with lessons 3km down the road. No progression, no structure. Day one and day five felt exactly the same. We built the thing we wish someone had handed us.
Solo travellers. First-timers. People who want to actually get better, not just tick a box on Instagram. If you've ever hesitated to book a trip alone because you didn't know what you'd be walking into, that's exactly who this is for.

Blue Buddies isn't a faceless platform. It's two guys who spent enough time getting surf trips wrong that they figured out how to get them right, and built something so you don't have to learn it the hard way too.
Simone's the one who'll happily talk your ear off about the ocean's effect on your head, ask him about "Blue Mind" sometime and clear your afternoon. He's not a scientist and he's not selling you a stat; it's just something he's read a lot about and believes in enough that it shaped how Blue Buddies picks camps. Less about ticking off famous breaks, more about days that actually leave you calmer than they found you.
Giorgio's the one who remembers every camp that let him down, which is exactly why he's fussy about the ones we work with now. If a camp doesn't have a real coach, a real board for your level, and people who'll actually check in on your progress, it doesn't make the list. He'd rather send you somewhere smaller and better than somewhere big and forgettable.
